The British Dental Health Foundation has recently launched a new campaign website to mark the announcement of National Smile Month in the UK which will take place between 19 May and 19 June.
National Smile Month is the UK’s annual reminder to pay more attention to their oral health.
Healthcare-Learning designed the new site which contains information on how to get involved in the 2014 campaign, as well as having lots of great tips and advice on oral health.
The BDHF are relying on organisations to work together to raise awareness of the importance of good oral health by organising events and activities.
Doychin Sakutov, Website and Digital Officer for the British Dental Health Foundation, explains why the new-look campaign website will get people smiling and what it will mean for helping the charity to raise oral health awareness during the campaign.
Mr Sakutov said: “National Smile Month continues to educate millions of people every year on the benefits of good oral health. But the campaign isn’t just about us learning more about the values of our oral health, it’s also about having lots of fun too – and that’s what we’re really focussing on with the launch of the new website.
“A huge thank-you must go to the team at Smile-On Healthcare-Learning, who have not only donated this fantastic website, but who have also joined us as Platinum Sponsors for this year’s campaign.
“National Smile Month online doesn’t just share some great oral health tips and advice, there are also lots of plenty of opportunities to have fun with our Smileys, interactive games and competitions to win some great prizes. In addition to having a wonderful new design, it’s completely responsive and compatible for mobile use, so whenever you are in the world, the National Smile Month website can be reached by any phone or tablet.”
He added: “This year, we’re encouraging everybody to help us raise awareness of oral health by uploading your Smiley photos. All the Smileys you send us will get uploaded onto our huge online image gallery for the whole world to see.
“It really is the happiest website in the world.”
