The Great North Run 2019

categories: Practice News

Paul Lowe decided that he would take part in this year’s Simply Health Great North Run for the second year running! The first GNR was held 39 years ago in which Paul also took part as a student while at Newcastle University, the run is now the largest half marathon in the world starting from the centre of Newcastle and finishing at South Shields on the coastline.

It was an early start to the day with a healthy porridge breakfast at 7am before making his way to the start line where he found himself in the lane next to all the elite runners including Sir Mo!

Paul had a fantastic run, and finished in 2hrs 28 and came number 25902 out of over 57k runners!

After the run he was presented with his medal for completing the event and had a well earned rest with a much needed bottle of water.

The whole team at Paul Lowe Dentistry are so very proud of his achievement and of course for helping to raise money towards the Greyhound trust.
